Equally if we have a baby of similar age to ours staying we shift it into the children's room to create a sort of dormitory. And our last option if the child is older than our kids and wants his own room then they may sleep in the play room, away from our kids and separate from their parents. A good way to keep everyone happy.
There are very few pieces of furniture which could prove as useful as the futon chair bed.
